Criteria for Starting a Jivana Health Foundation Chapter (High School Level)

1. Student Leadership

• Must volunteer at least one event to prove the commitment
• Must be a current high school student in grades 9–12.
• Must identify at least two student leaders (such as a Chapter President and Vice President or Outreach Lead).
• Leaders should be passionate about heart health and committed to Jivana’s mission.

2. Adult Advisor

• Each chapter must have a trusted adult advisor who can provide guidance and oversight.
• This can be a parent, mentor, coach, healthcare worker, or other responsible adult familiar with youth leadership or service.
• The advisor should be available to support the students and ensure chapter activities are safe and meaningful.

3. Application Process

• Submit a Interest Form (Click Get Involved) :
  • Why you want to start a chapter
  • Your chapter goals for the first year
  • Names and roles of student leaders
  • Name and contact information for your adult advisor
• Attend a virtual orientation session with the Jivana Health Foundation team.

4. Activity Requirements

• Host at least one awareness event or workshop per semester.
• Participate in at least one Jivana-led campaign (such as Girls for Hearts).
• Lead a community outreach or volunteer project connected to heart health.
• Optional: Collaborate with local clinics, nonprofits, or health clubs for service.

5. Monthly Updates

• Submit a short monthly report sharing chapter activities, photos, and upcoming events.

6. Use of Name and Materials

• All chapters must reflect the core values of empowerment, compassion, and equity.
• Chapters may use the Jivana logo and name with approval, following branding guidelines.

7. Minimum Membership

• Recruitment is encouraged through school events, peer outreach, or community promotion.
• Chapters must have at least 4 active student members to begin
